Young reveals injury 'slog' Lukeyoung_1570918

Aston Villa full-back Luke Young has revealed how he has been playing through the pain barrier.
The defender has been struggling with the foot injury that forced him to withdraw from the England squad in February.
Young, though, appears determined to feature in Villa's final two games of the season as the club look to secure fifth position.
He told the Express and Star: "There's still bone bruising so you can't get much treatment for it. It's an injury I can't get rid of.
"I did it during a defence versus attack training session out in Dubai. Marlon (Harewood) had the ball, I tried to smash it away and caught the bottom of his studs. I couldn't play for the next few days but I just thought nothing of it.
"At times it's been okay and at others it's been pretty poor. It's been a slog. I've been waking up every day and wondering if I can train.
"I've been going out there and annoying the coaching staff by saying 'sorry, it's no good' and spending two days on a running machine and then trying to train when I can."
Young, despite being naturally right-footed, has operated mainly at left-back for Villa this season, tallying 34 Premier League appearances to date.
